About me
L. Sherrié Raleigh graduated from Mercer University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Mass Communication, then worked for over ten years at the Government Employees Insurance Company. She left the insurance field in 2015 and obtained a second Bachelor of Arts degree in History at Middle Georgia State University in 2017. In 2019, she completed her Masters in Historic Preservation from the University of Georgia. Her thesis examined post-World War II food manufacturing facilities of Macon, Georgia and ideas on potential adaptive reuse for such structures.
Raleigh began her career with the University of Georgia's Archway Partnership (part of UGA's Public Service and Outreach division) in 2018 as a graduate assistant, and afterwards transitioned to a full-time faculty position. She has served as the Archway Professional for Pulaski County, Georgia since 2019 and acts as the community's liaison to UGA's resources. She currently lives in her hometown of Macon and is pursuing her Doctorate of Public Administration at Valdosta State University.
