The study delves into the social and solidarity economy (SSE) ‘s pivotal role in localization efforts to achieve sustainable development goals (SDGs). It seeks to answer the following questions: With society's overarching issues and complexities, how can development be achieved where “no one is left behind”? What could be the proven model to include the poor and marginalized participating in economic and social pursuits? The study explores the efforts and initiatives and the contribution of these organizations in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The SSE played an important role in poverty alleviation and improving the quality of life. Cases and examples based on the literature are included to elaborate further on aligning the social and solidarity economy (SSE) with sustainable development goals.
